The prefecture Ilia[Greece] has suffered the bigger hurt that lost 4 millions olive trees-total destruction from the fires 4,5 millions of olive trees in Southern Peloponnese, in Ilia was burned the 60% of olive trees and the 50% of vine-growings the prefecture has the bigger rate of dependence from the primary sector of (21,9% of total produced product of prefecture) and lower at head GNP (10190 Euros or 53% of means at head AEP). In this losses should is added also the damage in plant and livestock.

This is so, so, so sad. I was in Australia once when much of the country was on fire. Devestating.

My family just got back from a holiday on one of the Greek islands. they had a wonderful time, but they said they could see smoke on the horizon. The whole country must be in shock after recent events.

but the most sad part is that these flames and these smoke on the backround do not distract anyone from the crowd.
They see these flames so many days now.......
